Request a Grant Writer

Grants of up to $50,000 to California nonprofit organizations in eligible areas to address the needs of local at-risk children and young adults. Funding is intended to support programs and projects that promote literacy and benefit transition-age foster youth residing in the Sacramento and Central Valley areas.

Priorities:

  1. Literacy: Programs geared to improve the reading skills of children in grades K-12, including reading comprehension and overall school performance.
  2. Transition-Age Foster Youth: Programs that provide services, assistance, and opportunities for young people between the ages of 16 and 24 years old who are or have been in foster care.

Grant awards will range from $5,000 to $50,000.

Grants will fund nonprofits serving specific communities in the Sacramento Valley (Sacramento, Placer, Yolo, and El Dorado counties) and Central Valley (Fresno, Kings, and Madera counties).
