Grants to California county and city agencies for programs to ensure the proper disposal of eligible types of waste. Eligible agencies must work with a managing entity to implement and oversee the program. Activities may take place in incorporated and unincorporated areas. Funding is intended for waste tire enforcement activities.
Eligible activities generally include, but are not limited to:
Eligible costs include personnel, materials, equipment, travel, per diem, and transportation costs to perform eligible activities and enforce waste tire permitting, storage, and waste tire transportation laws and regulations. For more information on eligible costs, see pp. 6-12 of Procedures and Requirements in Supporting Documents below.

The maximum amount a grantee may receive is based upon population figures provided by the California Department of Finance:
- Applicants with populations equal to or less than 900,000 are eligible to receive up to $300,000.
- Applicants with populations of 900,001 to 2,000,000 are eligible to receive up to $450,000.
- Applicants with populations of 2,000,001 or more are eligible to receive up to $600,000
The Grant Term begins on June 30, 2021 and it ends on September 30, 2022.
