Grants ranging from $5,000 to $15,000 to USA nonprofits, government entities, public schools, and universities for charitable projects. Applicants must submit a Letter of Inquiry prior to applying. Programs may fall in the areas of health, poverty alleviation, environment, and education.
The Foundation seeks opportunities such as pilot programs, support of a new program, capacity building, a demonstration project, an evaluation, an expansion of an existing project with demonstrable results into a new geographic area or market, and similar types of projects. A pilot is a first delivery of a new program or offering intended to serve as a test of the program; test results from the pilot inform the decision to continue delivering the program as is, or with changes.
In most cases, the Foundation initially will make grants to support individual projects only. After the first year, if continued funding is approved, a portion of the grants may be designated for capacity building efforts.
