Foundation / Corporation
Rest Haven Children’s Health Fund
Grants to California agencies in eligible regions for health-related programs helping under-served children. Priority will be given to programs that focus on mental, behavioral, or emotional health, or childhood obesity prevention for children up to age 17. Funding is intended to expand an existing program, support a new program, or support the acquisition of equipment to enhance children's health needs. Eligible regions include San Diego and Imperial counties.
Consideration will be given to those requests that demonstrate the following:
Rest Haven will once again consider making available one-time grants to agencies in San Diego or Imperial Counties who are trying to increase their capacity to provide health care to improve the physical, medical, developmental and mental health needs of children, ages 0 through 17. However, due to the impact COVID 19 continues to have on communities and the availability of limited funds, the Rest Haven Board of Directors maintains the discretion to use any portion of the funds intended for grants in alternative ways to support children during this crisis.
GrantWatch ID#: 179573
Rest Haven has historically provided anywhere from 8 to 18 grants in any given year.
As the crisis continues to evolve daily, emergency needs may arise that the Board will want to lend support to and, therefore, the amount available to grant this year may be less than years before.
- Grant awards can be for up to a period of one year. These one-time grants are available on a competitive basis with grant monies being awarded in August for expenditure commencing September 1. All funds must be expended by August 31 of the following year.
- If grant funds are being requested to support a project that extends over a period of more than one year, a multi-year grant may be requested.
Before starting your grant application, please review the funding source's website listed below for updates/changes/addendums/conferences/LOIs.
