Grants of up to $15,000 to California nonprofit organizations in eligible locations to support projects and programs that benefit elderly residents. Eligible expenses may include events, publicity and outreach, professional fees, salaries, rent and utilities, and travel. Grants are available to support programs and projects directed to the welfare of senior citizens in the cities of Santa Barbara, Goleta, and Carpinteria.

Grant range: $2,000 to $15,000.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

The Santa Barbara Foundation awards grants to organizations certified as tax exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code that provide programs and services in Santa Barbara County.

A non-501(c)(3) is eligible to apply under a fiscal sponsor with 501(c)(3) status.

Collaborative applications are acceptable.

Grants cannot be used for overhead, salaries, capital or building funds.
