Marin Community Foundation (MCF) - Pirkle Jones Fund
Grant of $25,000 to a California early or mid-career artist residing in eligible communities to recognize and support work in the visual arts. Funding is intended to support work in one or more of the following areas: drawing, ceramics, installation, collage, painting, printmaking, photography, sculpture, and static digital art. The grant can be used for any purpose that will further the awardee’s career, including living expenses. Grants must benefit an emerging or mid-career visual artist residing in Marin County.
Through an annual competitive grant from its Visual Artist Support Program (VASP), the Pirkle Jones Fund aims to recognize, encourage, and nurture artistic imagination and drive, commitment to the creative process, aesthetic standards, and future artistic potential.
Applications will be reviewed and artist selected by the Pirkle Jones VASP Selection Committee, which will base its assessment on three areas: artistic value, artistic goals, and career impact.
