Grants of up to $10,000 to California nonprofit organizations and government agencies for projects that improve disaster preparedness in eligible regions. Eligible project types include service continuity projects, community resiliency projects, and disaster preparedness projects. Projects must benefit residents of Mendocino County.
The goal of the Fund is to support effective, realistic, and coordinated planning, reduce duplication of efforts, and increase the overall effectiveness of disaster preparedness activities in the community. These efforts can help minimize the impact of disasters on the community and result in saving more lives and safeguarding livelihoods during any disaster situation, enabling affected residents to return to a normal lifestyle as quickly as possible, and for the community to be stronger and more resilient afterwards.
