Grants to California nonprofit organizations and government agencies in eligible locations for housing and development projects that benefit low-income residents and those experiencing homelessness. Funding is intended for activities that serve families and individuals who have an annual income less than or equal to 30% of the annual area median income. Eligible projects benefit the residents of San Luis Obispo.

Eligible activities:

  1. Homeless management information systems (HMIS)
  2. Rapid re-housing assistance
  3. Emergency shelter
  4. Street outreach
  5. Homelessness prevention

Public agencies and public and private nonprofit entities may apply.

Pre-Application Information:

All applications are due to the County no later than 5:00 p.m. on October 23, 2020.

- September 1 - October 23, 2020: Application period
- November 2020 - January 2021: Application Review
- December 2020 - January 2021: Prepare and release draft plan including recommended programs for a 30-day public review period
- April/May: Final Plan Hearing
- May 15, 2021: County's final deadline for submitting Action Plan to HUD
