Grants to California nonprofit organizations in eligible areas for projects and activities that benefit the community. Funding will be awarded to programs in the areas of animal conservation, youth development, performing and visual arts, healthcare, medical research, higher education (including vocational and trade school education), and other charitable purposes in San Diego.
Geographic Focus
The Conrad Prebys Foundation primarily makes grants to organizations located within San Diego, CA. They selectively make grants in other parts of the country, but very rarely approve unsolicited applications from beyond San Diego County.
Types of Requests
The Foundation reviews requests for general operating funds, program support, technology/equipment, scholarship funds, new strategic initiatives, capital campaigns/projects, and occasionally multi-year grants. For capital requests, additional documentation is required.
