San Francisco Business Times
Opportunity for California businesses in eligible areas to be recognized in a local business publication for outstanding philanthropy and community work. This opportunity is intended to recognize companies employing innovative strategies to meet community needs and create positive change. Eligible companies must be located in the Greater Bay Area.
Every year, the Business Times celebrates the top Corporate Philanthropists in the Bay Area through a July publication and event.
The publication features a list of 100 companies ranked by cash giving to Bay Area nonprofits. But the Business Times also celebrates companies that go beyond cash through our “Beyond the Check Awards."
The Business Times features five companies in the publication and at their event whose giving extends beyond monetary donations. These companies are also focusing on engaging employees and customers in volunteerism and philanthropy.
To nominate a company, tell us about what new problem-solving strategies that organization has used to identify an innovative solution that will improve communities and create positive change in the Bay Area. Areas of focus can be education, the arts, sustainability, housing, economic development or any other area of philanthropy. Please provide specific examples of that strategy.
