Grants to Hawaii and California nonprofit organizations for initiatives to improve the lives of residents in eligible regions. Projects may fall into one of the following categories: maternal healthcare access and education, connecting youth with nature, promoting healthy aging through social connection, and fostering creativity through the arts. Grants are intended to benefit local communities in Hawaii and Northern California.

Estimated Size of Grant:

- The Spring cycle is for grants ranging from $50,000 to $150,000
- The Fall cycle is for grants ranging from $10,000 to $49,000

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Organizations must be recognized in good standing by the IRS under Section 501(c)(3) and 509(a)(1 or 2) or work through a Fiscal Sponsor who is.

The following are not supported:
- Solely religious, sacramental, or theological functions
- Political bodies or campaigns
- Individuals or memorializing individuals
- Foreign organizations
- Loans or the payback of debt

Spring Grant Cycle ($50K to $150K):
- Applications Accepted: February 14 thru March 7
- Stage One Decision: By March 31
- Board Review: April 25 thru May 13
- Stage Two Decision: Grant Award: By May 16
- Funding: June

Fall Grant Cycle ($10K to $49K):
- Applications Accepted: July 18 thru August 8
- Stage One Decision: By September 8
- Board Review: September 26 thru October 14
- Stage Two Decision: Grant Award: By October 17
- Funding: November

Following the Stage One decision date indicated above, all applicants will be notified (via email) whether or not their application will still be under consideration in Stage Two.
