To apply online, an applicant organization (or fiscal agent), must currently operate in California and be of these types of organizations:
-501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization with a 509 (a) designation indicating that the organization is not a private foundation
-A local, state, or federal government agency, including any of its subdivisions that perform substantial governmental functions
-501(c)(4), 501(c)(5), 501(c)(6), 501(c)(7), 501(c)(8), 501(c)(10), or 501(c)(19)

Proposals may be submitted on an as-needed basis. Applications for sponsorship are reviewed every other month. Please note the deadline dates below. Requests should be submitted a minimum of 60 days before the event.
- January 27, 2017 for review and determination by February 3, 2017.
- March 17, 2017 for review and determination by March 24, 2017.
-May 19, 2017 for review and determination by May 26, 2017.
-July 21, 2017 for review and determination by July 28, 2017.
-September 15, 2017 for review and determination by September 22, 2017.
-*November 10, 2017 for review and determination by November 17, 2017.
