Grants to California nonprofit organizations in eligible locations for cultural programs and activities that benefit the local community. Funding is intended to support projects that promote equity, inclusion, and a sense of community. Grant funds must be used for projects or performances based in Redwood City or that are accessible virtually to Redwood City residents.
The Commission considers the following priorities in making its funding decisions in 2021:

The Arts Commission has set-up guidelines to allocate grant funds for Fiscal Year 2021-2022 as follows:
- Small Grants ($1,500 or less, up to twice per fiscal year) = $9,000
- Large Grants ($1,501 or more, all applicants reviewed once per year) = $40,000
