Grant Description
Awards to California businesswomen in eligible locations to recognize exceptional contributions to the business community. Awards are intended to celebrate women who have left a lasting impression on the region's business landscape. Eligible applicants work at nonprofit or for-profit organizations. The nominee must be based in El Dorado, Placer, Sacramento, or Yolo counties.

The Sacramento Business Journal is accepting nominations for the 27th annual Women Who Mean Business awards program. Local women will be recognized who are leading their industry and communities. The Journal is looking for women from every industry and profession — women who have made a difference in business, in their communities, have blazed a trail, and are leaving a mark on the Sacramento region. These women are innovators, leaders and game-changers.

Nomination Benefits:

  • Recognition on the Sacramento Business Journal's website and within the pages of the print edition can set an individual and their business apart from its competitors and make the business more visible in the community and to potential partners and investors.
  • If your candidate is selected as a finalist and/or honoree, it sends a message of success to employees, recruits and competitors alike, and gives your company the opportunity to recognize workers for their contributions to your success.
  • The awards event will be memorable and a valuable opportunity to meet and network with other award-winning companies and community business leaders.
