The is a nonprofit educational organization dedicated to reviewing and honoring the top achievements in professional theater. The organization is made up of 9 professional theater who write about theater throughout the year, then vote to choose the top achievements. Each February, a ceremony is held to honor the top performances, direction, design and productions and cash awards totaling $1,000 or are given in the categories of achievements by a small theater and young artist. The event draws about 400 people. The cost to present the ceremony and pay for award plaques and scholarships is raised through a 50-50 mix of private donations and ticket sales. We did not hold awards ceremonies in 2021 and 2022 due to the pandemic and the long-term closure of all theaters. We restarted the awards voting in 2022 and held our first ceremony since February 2020 on Feb. 27, 2023. The money raised and spent during this fiscal year was for the event.
