THE PROGRAM ASSISTS PARTICIPANTS IN DEVELOPING NECESSARY SKILLS TO INCREASE THE QUALITY OF THEIR ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE, TO GAIN ADMISSION AND GRADUATE FROM INSTITUTIONS OF HIGHER LEARNING, TO EARN SCHOLARSHIPS AND GRANTS, AND TO LEAD ACTIVE AND SUCCESSFUL LIVES IN PURSUIT OF THEIR CHOSEN FIELDS OR PROFESSIONS. ACTIVITIES INCLUDE TUTORING IN HIGH SCHOOL CURRICULUM AND JOB INTERESTS, COUNSELING TO HELP RESOLVE FAMILY AND COMMUNITY ISSUES AND CONFLICTS, CULTURAL ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS, PREPARATORY TRAINING FOR PART-TIME JOBS, COLLEGE APPLICATION AND ENTRANCE EXAMS, WITH A FOCUS ON KEEPING THESE TEENAGERS INTERESTED AND ACTIVE IN A COLLEGE AND CURRICULUM. THE CENTERS CURRENTLY SERVE APPROXIMATELY 415 STUDENTS MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY AND SUPPORTS AN ADD

The specific purposes of this are to conduct programs and engage in related activities that provide relief for the poor, distressed, or underprivileged, and instruct the public on subjects useful to individuals and beneficial to communities, with particular focus on the support of animal rescue efforts and nonprofit music programs.

With the support of Grantmakers for Girls of Color, LAIPA has implemented a womens health programs in North and Southeast . This experience has increased our knowledge and experience on providing health education to community women.
