Grants to California nonprofit organizations for activities to benefit low-income communities in eligible regions. Examples of eligible activities include the construction of public facilities, property acquisition, and social services. Eligible organizations serve residents of San Clemente.
CDBG program funds are allocated to eligible communities on an annual basis to develop “viable communities by providing decent housing, a suitable living environment, and to expand economic opportunities, principally for low- and moderate-income persons.” Low- and moderate-income persons are defined by HUD as persons with an annual household income equal to or less than 80% of the county’s median income. This income standard is adjusted for family size and updated annually.

Grants funds are for Fiscal Year 2023-2024, which begins on July 1, 2023.
