THE PROGRAM ASSISTS PARTICIPANTS IN DEVELOPING NECESSARY SKILLS TO INCREASE THE QUALITY OF THEIR ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE, TO GAIN ADMISSION AND GRADUATE FROM INSTITUTIONS OF HIGHER LEARNING, TO EARN SCHOLARSHIPS AND GRANTS, AND TO LEAD ACTIVE AND SUCCESSFUL LIVES IN PURSUIT OF THEIR CHOSEN FIELDS OR PROFESSIONS. The organization raises funds to provide scholarships (college education) to indigent students who are deserving of getting a college education based on their academic and extra curricular performance in high school. However, they cannot afford to attend university and go to college since their families are very poor and their parents cannot afford to send them to school. The students and their families live in poverty in Metro Manila Philippines. In addition to the inability to go to school, these students are also expected to earn a living their families, therefore going to college is not an option them without a scholarship.

To unite the alumni of the Ateneo de Manila University in the different parts of the world into an organization that fosters and advances close relations among its alumni.Sponsorship of senior students with stipend and other expenses was also discussed to help students ibn need to complete their bachelors degree

With the support of Grantmakers for Girls of Color, LAIPA has implemented a womens health programs in North and Southeast . This experience has increased our knowledge and experience on providing health education to community women. During this time, the women have identified the need of a formal support system that will assist them and their families in accessing health resources, guidance in maneuvering in society, and culturally based health education. Girls in this community have identified their needs to be parent-child communication, cultural identity, leadership development, and most importantly, reproductive health education.

The Association was established to gather and maintain a list of gradudates to act as a clearing house for information. The data gathered will be used for class reunions and as a resource for members. The Association will sponsor an annual social event for its members at cost. The Association will provide funds in the form of scholarships for individual graduates and has established scholarship funds with The Community Foundation of Mendocino County and The Mendocino College Foundation.
